Replacing Your Alpha Gen II Shift Shaft Seal

The Alpha Gen II shift shaft seal should be replaced if water is found to be leaking
into the shift cable areas.

Leaking can occur after a severe overheat as the hot exhaust gases pass near the seal.

The Alpha Gen II actually has two shift shaft seals pressed up into the Bell Housing through the exhaust passage.

There is a special tool required to properly install the new seals.
